Sharare Zehtabian
I am a machine learning engineer at Pinterest. I work with the ads engagement modeling team and prior to that I did a research internship with the ads relevance team at Pinterest. I received a PhD in Computer Science from University of Central Florida under supervision of Prof. Lotzi Bölöni and Prof. Damla Turgut. My doctoral thesis title was Human Behavior in Domestic Environments: Prediction and Applications. During my PhD, I had the chance to work on various interesting projects such as developing smart walkers to provide focused care for people with limited mobility during rehabilitation, developing an intelligent virtual receptionist that can interact with users verbally and non-verbally, and exploring human behavior modeling and privacy-preserving deep learning techniques for activity prediction in smart environments.
I received my Master's degree in Decision Science and Knowledge Engineering from University of Tehran, Iran. My Master's thesis was about application of Deep Learning in MRI Brain segmentation. I also received my Bachelor in Computer Science from Sharif University of Technology, Iran.
